Enhancing Social Skills Through ABA

Social interaction can be one of the biggest challenges for children on the autism spectrum, but social skills can be taught, practiced, and strengthened in natural, meaningful ways. With the right support, everyday moments become opportunities to connect, share, and build confidence with peers. In this session, BCBA Juliet King shares how ABA principles can be used to develop social understanding, turn-taking, conversation skills, and positive peer interactions. Rather than relying on scripted or forced exchanges, the focus is on helping children engage authentically in the situations that matter most to them. Parents and caregivers will come away with practical, encouraging strategies to nurture social growth at home and beyond, one meaningful interaction at a time.
