Taylor Young is a Lead BCBA at Forta, where she works on behavior intervention planning across clinic and home program design.
She began in communication rather than behavior. Her undergraduate work at Central Michigan University was in communication disorders and sciences, which put her in front of the question most families arrive with: my child is not communicating, and I do not know how to help. She went on to a master's in educational psychology at Wayne State University.
She has practiced as a BCBA across clinic and home settings, spending nearly six years as an applied behavioral consultant before stepping into a lead role. A behavior plan that ignores how a child communicates is usually a plan that will not hold, and that is the part she checks first.
